Re: Foenix IDE

Released Foenix IDE 0.2.5.0 in Git. This version now supports command-line arguments: -h, --hex: load an Intel-hex program -r, --run: auto-run -i, --irq: disable "break on interrupts" Let me know if you have any problems. Ctrl-C in the console (to kill the program) is not supported yet. I'm looking...

Re: Foenix IDE

For "gadget":
I use a virtual Windows machine under VMWare on MacOS, with the IDE and WDC tools; it works fine, so far for my test.
Indeed Mike is working with the hardware.

For IDE expert: I guess that the Vicky VDMA is not (yet) implemented in the IDE simulator, right ?

Re: Foenix IDE

Suggestion for the IDE : It would be useful, imho, to have some options to start the IDE from the commande line and load an hex file, in order to bypass the menu. For example : -h <hexfile_name> -z for zeroing -j <address> to directly jump at <address> at startup, without running the code yet my 2 c...

Re: Foenix IDE

Hi, Question for the IDE experts: I have create and compiled a simple C program with WDC tools. It works fine in the WDC simulator but when I load it in the IDE I notice some strange difference in the assembly code. Here is what I have in the WDC simulator : 00:0000 3B tsc 00:0001 38 sec 00:0002 E9...

Re: Foenix IDE

But trying to go further there are definetely things that I do not understand in the IDE. in the produced as...

Re: Foenix IDE

Thanks for all those information and hints Stefany and PJW. Indeed it’s possible to add in-line assembly code, then I will try the code you suggested and also relocate the program.

Re: Foenix IDE

Has anybody succeeded in producing a hex/bin program with the WDC compiler and linker that runs in the IDE ? I am struggling to do that. I can compile and link my test program, but when I try to load it (without zeroing mem) in the IDE, depending on the linking options, it either doesnot load (Syst...
