Where is RAM mapped, where is ROM mapped, etc. Thank you in advance, Jason Jason, you could start with that to gi...

Re: Foenix IDE

Thanks for this detailed post. The kernel that ships with the IDE has 76 columns by 56 lines (608 x 448). The border X and Y sizes are set to 16. This was done to test new attributes in Vicky (border sizes), located at $AF:0008 and $AF:0009. I'm not sure why this would affect the bitmap mode that y...

Re: General Comments

I see on the photos that the designer used an SMSC (company) super-IO chip on the motherboard for serial/parallel ports. The SIO functionality can be implemented on an FPGA also, I did it before. Then you would not rely on a soon to be obsolete custom chip. What it takes is a source file I can give...

Re: Foenix IDE

Has anybody succeeded in producing a hex/bin program with the WDC compiler and linker that runs in the IDE ? I am struggling to do that. I can compile and link my test program, but when I try to load it (without zeroing mem) in the IDE, depending on the linking options, it either doesnot load (Syst...
