Re: General Comments

Hello Antoon, I might be wrong but I think you misunderstood how git/github works (I'm no expert either). But you do not usually have write access to a project (unless invited by de developers). What you do is create your own so called fork. This is easy and mostly automatic. You make changes to thi...

Sound fo the IDE

Hello All, Now A quick word on my other project for the IDE (beside ch376 support). I wanted to try to add sound. In my opinion sound, storage and video are the basic ingredients to build a "game" on. Again a project that has me playing with something I now nothing about. Sound chips. It's always in...

CH376 emulation for IDE

Hello all, So on discord Stef invited us all to write about our projects on the forum. So here is something about the little projects I have been doing. Al tough I have been looking for a good retro platform to code on for A while, I have little experience with C or assembly on such platforms. Meani...

Re: General Comments

Hello Antoon, I do not have any specific answer for you. But my advice would be to stick around read the postings, talk to people and have a general look around. When someone asks for help with something you feel comfortable with, you can step in. You might also determine something you think is stil...

Re: MIDI test code

I already suspected this to be on all rev B's. In audiophile land sometimes, things like op-amps are socketed so they can be replaced by "better" ones. I do not expect steff to be catering to that crowd. And steff seems to be to much of a perfectionist to leave such an obvious botch on there ;). So ...

Re: MIDI test code

What is the green add-on board in the top-left next to the midi. Seems to be in the audio path. Can't remember if I have seen that on the other device photo's out there...

Re: Opinions for Assembly Tutorial Videos

I'm thinking about what further videos I want to make, and a tutorial series on 65816 assembly seems likely. Based on feedback I've gotten, I think I'll start it off with tool setup, but I'm wondering how I want to approach the actual assembly language part. The 65816 is essentially a 6502 with add...

Re: A video on the C256

I watched your second video. On the face of it, it was fine. The main criticism I have is that like many videos where assembly is done, you assumed to much knowledge about it on my part. So at times it was quite difficult to follow. The closest thing I got to working with assembly is reading old lis...

Hmmm... think I should add a smoke bomb effect or something? Or maybe a "yo! hommies, smash that like button and check out my patreon" at the end? ;)
Now that would instantly make me unsubscribe :)
