C256 Foenix U
Hi Stefany, I just need to know a few things. When will the final version be ready: Is it Dec. 2020? Is the final version called the U? If it has half the components of the FMX and is smaller and cheaper, will it still have the same functionality? Is the U 31.35 sq. in.? Computers are used for applications and games, but mostly games. For that, you need very good graphics and sound. Of course, the computer should be fast. Is the FMX version mainly for developers, or for music? You said that the U version was a bare board. Does that mean we have to 3D print all the components onto it? I don't have a 3D printer, but they cost $279, which is the cost of the Foenix. I doubt the computer chips could be 3D printed, because the circuits are too small for that. I just bought a 2D color inkjet printer, so I don't really want to buy another printer. Can't you have a manufacturer install the components, so that I can buy it pre-assembled like the C64? I don't mind buying it over the internet, but maybe you could also sell it in computer stores like the C64 was. You mentioned 68K. Did you mean the 68000 microprocessor? I would greatly appreciate you answering these questions. I need to understand the computer before I buy it. US $200 is a good price. Maybe you could sell it including components for US $350. Well, that's all I need to know. Good luck with the Foenix Project!
